I am a single brother who is an uncle to an ever-growing list of 9 nephews and 2 nieces. My experience in secondary teaching and mentoring of young Muslims has allowed me to develop an understanding of the issues faced by teenagers as well as the various influences from the society that they live in. I currently host my own site, coldmocha.com providing an insight into the life of a typical Muslim living in Britain.

Ramadan is the month of blessings and prayer, fasting and feasting. This is the month when we get into gear and dedicate a month to our Lord, regardless of how we had spent the rest of the year. This is also the month when we dig deep into our pockets and give generously in the hope of gaining multiplied rewards for our good deeds.

On top of that, the growth of technology and an ever-changing environment means that a lot of these things are likely to be unfamiliar to us.
